Veteran Games – Heston Russell
Heston Russell is a retired Australian Special Forces Major who served in the 2nd Commando Regiment with multiple deployments to Afghanistan and Iraq. After leaving the military, he founded the Veteran Games, an event promoting camaraderie, fitness, and mental well-being among veterans. Inspired by the Invictus Games, it provides a supportive space for veterans to engage in sports and connect with others. Through this and other initiatives, Russell continues to advocate for veteran support, focusing on mental health, community, and the transition to civilian life.
